I've not been very active here as it has been really hard to make much time for social media in general with all the things I've had going on lately. We did finally move to Chicago a few months ago, so that was an accomplishment but I'm still uncertain if things are better.

I have to agree. And an arbitrary day at that, I guess it gives people some illusion of taking action but it's really just a vague grand gesture that in all likelihood will not have much of an impact.

One thing I've certainly felt while boycotting Meta this week is isolation. My community is still there and I think at one time I suggested moving to Discord which was met with crickets chirping. I wonder if they might reconsider now. Heck I'd even be willing to help start a server for them.
