Star Light Crusader is a two women cell compose of Nora Rogers as Cygnus Nova , and Christina Long as Azure Sunshine. They were used as vehicle to introduce some of the world building concepts and backgrounds but now I think it should have left for later after Vivian has been initialized.

these pages were printed out and re-inked, and then scanned and printed out again and was colored using color pencils. I was experimenting this way because I had a good printer, but I had to get rid of it because it stopped being calibratable last year...

these page are a mix of traditional and digital, some of the line turn out okay, but there is a tangent coming up that just feel redundant in retrospect, follow by more detours, because I kept coming up with ideas in the weeks and months between pages.

I wasn't really happy with remaining pages of the chapter, because the line art was really weak, especially the background. I was experimenting with integrating my blender models into the artwork but they just does not turn out very well. These are all digital lines for a while and looks bad.

page 25 was essentially the very first page of the second reboot of this comic. Rebecka Anderson was one of the earliest supporting character created for this project. Vivian being the child of a super soldier and a magical girl is much later addition through consolidated world buildings.

meeting the Cygus Nova and Azure Sunshine is the first tangent. There is probably no good reason for Vivian to have encounter this experience and not become rather disturbed, and it should have been a sequence of event that directly led to becoming a magical girl instead of a detour.

I spent more on food than I earned from comms in the last two months. This is after cutting my food budget back in December. So I set myself a goal called "Food Money" this month (though I'm not sure how that'll make any difference). I'll keep public track of it.

I really like the idea of different mascots trying to recruit magical girls, and getting into goofy shenanigans or fights amongst each other, but from this point on, I started getting into a lot of tangents and detours. This is just the nature of the fact each page took weeks and months.

page 10-12 was earliest pages that I have drawn, a version of these pages exist from late 00s to early 10s, but it wasn't finished until like 2017 or something with three reboots. I can never get traction but I kept obsessing over a version of this story.
