I spent yesterday evening putting the finishing touches on my latest sculpture. It’s part of a new series where I’m transforming my paintings into 3D sculptural works—bringing abstract compositions off the canvas and into physical space.

Beautiful shot!!

The glass cutting was a success! Now on to sanding sharp edges and mounting it with stand-offs. It’s been a good learning curve working with some new, to me, materials. It’s a different(slower) process than the painting, but I’m learning a lot with it and really enjoying the results.

Just finished this 30”h x 22”w piece. It’s acrylic on cold press watercolor paper. This color combination really speaks to me. I’m excited to create this on a larger canvas and also to play with some other color variation!

my newest sculpture.

I experimented with alcohol ink on acrylic on this one and was excited about how this one turned out. I feel like there are lots of interesting possibilities using alcohol ink in this way. Will be experimenting with it more on future pieces.

Here’s the finished piece! The purple that’s created from the magenta orb under the blue acrylic is better than I had hoped for. Really happy with how this one came together 💜

Here’s a sneak peak at a sculptural piece that I’ve been working on recently. I’ll post more detailed shots tomorrow and then the finished piece as well. I’m really proud of this one and can’t wait to share the finished product with you!
