They know exactly what they’re doing.

It’s poor for the venue for Saturday’s recon party to say there was a ‘higher than expected number of bags’.
This was an event with a dress code, in zero degree January weather. Anyone attending could have told them, and I assumed Recon team did in advance, the number of bags = number of attendees.
I think it’s an understandable not good or bad choice. What different feedback are they going to get in the comments that they’re not already aware of or actioning? On the same day they’ve had a post deleted and censored, turning off comments *might* also limit risk around that.
