I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

Just stumbled about a Ievan Polka cover and thought to myself "hey, would be fun to know the lyrics of at least a small part so I can sing along". So I looked up said lyrics and came to the realisation: no. No, I won't be able to do that. What a language x3

This morning I arrived in Landshut, Bavaria, and visited the exhibition by Australian artist Patricia Piccinini, which will only be on display in Germany until Sunday. I admired the original silicone sculptures and am delighted to have the opportunity to view her works in person.
