I usually avoid getting art for gifts all together unless I specifically commission an artist I know doesn't make AI, and then print it myself.

I shouldn't have taken the chance this time tho, that's what I get for ordering from someone when I didn't know their track record. Lesson for next time.

I dread getting art for gifts cause my family literally doesn't care if something is AI despite my very clear distaste for it.

They got my brother an AI generated piece last year; and when he said he didn't want it, they guilt tripped him into keeping it. He threw it away behind their back tho lol

The thing is I do the exact same thing. I can tell when something isn't and is AI. What I ordered wasn't AI, but what arrived was. This is a huge problem since this is just straight up lying now 😭

I can draw furries, ferals, humans, humanoids, any species, unique species, etc. If it's animal-like, I can draw it.

I cannot draw mechas (sorry), insanely complex Sparkle Dogs, or anything offensive / inappropriate.

Twitters AI algorithm has made it impossible to grow as artists so I'm gonna really push my bsky.

If you're new here, I make animations and art. I also sometimes do fursuit stuff but that's pretty rare. I do commission work too, all in my bio!

I always ask for examples, never commission an artist who won't show examples.

Doesn't need to be finished by a specific date either, I just like to know it's been started! :] if you need time to finish, I am MORE than happy waiting!! I'd rather get quality work at a different date than having a rushed piece sooner, you know?

And it doesn't necessarily need to be done by December, I just usually ask to see some type of progress on it being started within a month or two! I just have dealt with a lot of artists who ghost clients, or wait 6 months or more for an update, so that's the only reason

Also y'all can share even if you don't draw humans. Eventually I'll probably look for other stuff

Animation / Art

Like, as an artist I can tell you it was real art. 100% real artist. Just extremely lazy and rushed art and not even close to the quality they presented in their examples. ie bad business practice
