One of the worst trends I've seen in 'leadership' in my many years of the game industry is this tendency to penalize the person who points out inappropriate / destructive / etc behavior.

I mean, a special session called specifically to violate the Texas Constitution doesn't sound like "their job." It's more like unpaid overtime that they didn't agree to, for the purpose of breaking the law. (But *do* go on, AG "I investigated myself for corruption, and found me not guilty" Paxton.)

IIRC, this past election the governor purged 250,000 voters off the rolls after the deadline to re-register, and tried to limit the number of drop-off boxes for early voting to 1 per county (Harris County has a bigger population than half of the states in the US). On top of the gerrymandering.
