My biggest wish for this week is for my arm to stop hurting ; u ;

The difference is so STARK! XD There are people reading the most fucked up stuff imaginable. And then there are the ones feeling uneasy because of something that is - in my opinion - just a pinch of salt/chilli pepper within the soup that would be kinda bland without it XD

As if a creator must have done something WRONG, even when that discomfort is often intentional.

BTW: Nothing against the commenter who brought this up. The criticism was factual and kindly phrased. It just stands out to me as a PATTERN that there’s always this expectation for everything to be squeaky clean and perfect - and that any discomfort that arises gets emphasized so strongly. 😅

YES! Is it ideal? NO. Do some readers feel uncomfortable with it? YES. Does MAUS feel uncomfortable with it? Yeeeeah…? XD Kinda? I’d honestly use the safeword.

And I understand if it distracts some readers or creates an uneasy feeling.

And not ideal. But that made every evening special. We locked ourselves into one room and turned on the gas heater. ☺️ The atmosphere that created was unique! We’ll never forget it!

The biggest problem with readers these days is the inability to separate their own character from that of the depicted figures - and to recognize the feeling of “this makes me uncomfortable” as part of normal emotions while reading.

I just started anti-inflammation pills my Mom got for her injured shoulder 🙈 I know that's not ideal, but it's Sunday and these things are anti-inflammatory and pain-killing. Sounds good to me. I'm massively tensed up because of the pain alone TuT

When I’m working it’s like a part of my body is consuming lots of energy all the time, because the pain is so bad.

Tension or inflammation (?) in my neck and that pinched a nerve. That’s just a theory. Maybe the mechanism works differently, but the result is that my left arm hurts like hell for a week now. It feels like as if all the tendons and muscles are too short. You know the feeling when you’re stretching

I don’t know what exactly happened in my neck (??? I suppose?), but somehow a nerve leading into my left arm hurts like hell as if it gets pinched in my neck area.
My theory is, that the reason for that problem is my cough. Somehow that lead to
