Long week. For the weekend, here's something Jane Goodall told me in 2015:

"Too often we're told, 'think globally, act locally.' If you think too long globally, you become depressed. But twist it around, you act locally and see what you and your friends can do to make a difference."

I use a lot of custom feeds on BlueSky, but this one is one of my favorites for seeing good content from accounts I’m not following.

Visible mountaineering boots and an ice axe help provide a sense of scale for a wide angle iPhone image looking down from the top of a long line of packed snow. A string of alpine lakes sit in the valley below. Lush green foliage covers the mountainsides and down valley more peaks rise in the distance.

After climbing 3000 feet up a steep couloir, I decided to sit for a moment and take in the scenery.

Neither here nor there, but I spent an amazing day in the high country today.

A lot of time spend on steep rocky trails and, of course, slow — and bumpy — dirt roads.

Since pandemic ended the band and a serious injury to my fretting hand, I have no excuse to socialize any more… it’s not good.

Sure, I got photography and running. Good hobbies. But nothing like being in the road w/ your buddies. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I really like BlueSky.

Am I frustrated about a few things? Sure.

But this is without a doubt the best microblogging platform.

Which means I’m in line for an internment camp. Or a drone strike 😬
