Had to drive into town this morning. The curvy mountain roads in my neighborhood weren’t much of a problem.

Some nasty icy patches in the city, though. Already warming up, so hopefully better driving conditions soon ☃️

I’m sick to my stomach on how generative AI has stained the creative arts and photography communities and seeing it gain traction in music is just breaking my heart.

That floater — no. 10 I think — is just sick. That man is out of this world.

I know the thing you talk about. My Nikon doesn’t do a color overlay but there is a faint indicator in my viewfinder. In dark conditions I struggle to see it.

To be clear: the fault is my own, not my equipment 😞

I am not sure what that is. I think part of the problem is simply my vision. It is extremely poor in middle age and once it gets dark I have a very difficult time seeing.

My glasses work well for distance but I can’t seem to focus the lens properly.

Alas.

I took 86 photos of the aurora last night and they are all worthless because I used the manual focus and failed to get the focus correct.

I knew this might happen so I’m not that sad about it. It’s more funny than anything.

Grateful for all the competent photographers who snapped great images.
