There are few things that annoy me as much as the “Jazz is Munka Spanka” thing. It’s still clear that it’s referring to another event even if the edit isn’t the best. Someone’s fanon presented as fact by the wiki. It’ll get a toy one day, I’m sure 😒

And indeed several of those that they do kill were current product that was still shipping (Starscream, the Insecticons, the Coneheads) which wasn’t exactly ideal for selling toys. Good job they all “got better” or became ghosts for S3!

The 2011 relaunch was actually good (spectacularly botched as a relaunch, mind, but the toon was enjoyable). It’s just profoundly depressing that a whole-ass adult could have matured from being a small child since it aired when it still feels brand new

If the guy was 20-something there’s the temporally worrying notion that his Thundercats were the 2011 versions (I hate time)

Secret Wars Doctor Doom! Diabolical genius! Ruler of Latveria! Possessor of some of the most rub-offable tampos in action figure history (finding a good one was TOUGH)! Looks a bit nude without a cloak. Nice that he has holsters for both guns. Funnily enough does share some body parts with Iron Man…

Transformers Robots in Disguise 2015 Stormshot! When there were dozens of RiD show characters in need of toys it was a bit indulgent to give a completely original non-show character a toy. I’m glad they indulged though as Stormshot is INCREDIBLE. Looks fantastic, two cool combining guns, super fun

Secret Wars Doctor Octopus - a classic green & yellow Doc Ock design with his tentacles coming out of his flanks. He’s wielding a Secet Wars double-barrelled blaster and silver shield. All those arms and not one could give him a decent haircut

Secret Wars Doctor Octopus! Doc Ock’s tentacles are infamously frail and finding one with all four intact was a real challenge. In a nice touch all of the arms can be equipped with the standard issue Secret Wars blasters for four times the (very careful) cephalopodic carnage!

Transformers Robots in Disguise Twinferno! The RiD Warrior class was a bit of a mixed bag but towards the end there were some real gems like this AMAZING weird neon red stealth bomber with two dragon heads stapled on. In an oddly indulgent move for a non-show design there was also a fun lil Legion

Transformers Roller Skates! I was never allowed skates as a kid (probably for the best) though if I had been I would’ve picked a pair like these. Always nice to have Optimus on a box though might have been better to use one of the bots with usable wheels on their feet (his are close but don’t roll)

Does expalin why nobody was much bothered when the real O'Brien, Harry Kim, Naomi Wildman and Picard were killed and replaced by duplicates. Not really much of a novelty when it happens to you twice on your daily commute.

I’ve got a box of Gobots that 80s kids made into Autobots and Decepticons through sticker donations (very niche collection but if I see one I buy it). Tonka/Bandai lost that war SO hard

Over the years I've found quite a few Transformers that kids had tarted up with the Transfomers logo from the sticker sheet. Maybe Hasbro was onto something when they started adding it to various bots in the early 90s (I never liked it but some kids obviously did!)

Obviously they should have called it the Rolling Headquarters Including Nice Off-road buggy (still less cheaty than “Kommand”)

Attack digger! In a fairly baffling choice neither of the purple guns made out of Devvy’s big guns has a 5mm gun barrel hole so they can’t utilise blast effects (the long one there is just balanced). That means Devastator won’t be able to look like he’s spooming

Transformers Studio Series Scrapper! Wasn’t going to bother with the SS Constructicons as I was happy with Unite Warriors but FOMO got best of me. He’s nice enough though doesn’t feel much of an improvement over UW. Lil disappointed Devvy’s gun barrel doesn’t have a 5mm barrel (no blast effects 😔)

There was a DVD so there’s some decent quality uploads out there. The series is pretty decent with both an arc and an ending. Heroes are a lil bland but the Skeletons are fun (same as the toy line)

And here’s the Skeletor version of the Masters of the Universe Money Bank! Stash Skelly’s ill-gotten loot in style. The flat back of the head looks a little less horrific than He-Man’s

Transformers Age of the Primes Air Raid! Never had Air Raid as a kid but I really wanted him as his her life looked awesome and he did cool stuff in the cartoon. So I’m glad to have a modern version looking awesome and doing cool stuff!
