Ok, last glazes for a minute. These turned out so cute! But they also took forever to glaze 😅. #pottery #curling

Thanks! It’s niche but curlers will enjoy it. The glaze isn’t perfect, there’s some pitting on the handle where it got a little thick. But since it’s not for food, I’m letting it go 😅

First curling stone jar: complete! The handle drooped a little in the glaze fire but I kind of like it. It gives it a sense of motion. #pottery #curling

TIL following the assassination of MLK Jr, the MLB was the only major sports org that didn’t cancel all games. Roberto Clemente refused to play, inspiring his fellow black players to do the same. Seanny asked me to make him “dosing bowls” for his coffee. I made 3 different shapes to see which ones is best. Also, in case it looks like throwing clay is all gold stars and sunshine, the last two pics are my attempt at a ceramic lidded curling stone and the aftermath on my overalls 🤣 #pottery

I set out trying to make nice clean lines and that didn’t happen 😅. So I went with “organic” instead. Kinda looks like a tree trunk or a piece of coral.

The cats have chosen their favorite windows. Our home has numbered brass tacks in the window frames so if the panes are removed it’s easy to know which goes where. Bear’s favorite is #21. Chichi’s has no tack but it’s right next to #50 so I’m calling it #50-A. #spring #cats #oldhouse
