Today's feature is Wings's all-new entry from one of his signature series, "The Spirit Horse," set with twilight amethyst [and it has just sold!].

We have two from his Warrior Woman series also set with shades of flowering light.

Wings typically uses a single cabochon as an accent, placed anywhere between neck and tail. Here, it's where the base of the neck meets the withers, unusual compared to most, but perfect here. The stone is a tiny round highly-domed cabochon of deep violet amethyst, perfect for twilight spirits.

More stars are scattered across neck and tail, with quartets of crescent moons on his legs. An arrow points the same direction as his flowing locks, and a pair of Water Birds rise upward from his body.

A pair of heartlines, formed by Wings's own hand-made flowing-water stamp, sit at angles to each other, one dual-terminating in points, the other in stars, like a comet.

The stampwork here consists of a single tiny divot-style hoop for the eye, small textured points for the fetlocks, and longer, bolder textured points for the locks of mane and tail.

They're saw-cut entirely freehand, always moving forward, never back. Yes, that includes the tight angles of mane and tail, and sharp tight spaces between hooves and body too.

They are all formed in the same basic shape and style, and although they may face either direction, those that face to the wearer's right, like this, are more common.

The original spirit horse came to him one night in a dream, asking to be given form and shape; when he awakened, he distilled to two dimensions, then to three. Each one has been a relative, so to speak, of that dream horse [and, I suspect, of our own horses now on another plane of existence].

This is, I believe, the first new Spirit Horse that Wings has created in perhaps two or three years, at least. But it's one his oldest signature series, one he's been creating for decades now.
