Now, tonight's local urgent needs.
First, some great news: P, Mary, and Jesse all had today's goals met!
Thank you to everyone who donated.
You can see them grouped together below.
As always, you can order any of them via the Contact form here: wingssilverwork.com/contact/.
Or just e-mail me directly at NDNSilverByWings [at] gmail [dot] com.
The other pair is called "Chrysalis Sun": wingssilverwork.com/chrysalis-su....
Sterling silver; amber. These are butterfly conchas, hence the name, big, bold repoussΓ© wings set with fiery little suns at their centers:
First up is "Raining Sun": wingssilverwork.com/raining-sun-....
Sterling silver; rare Russian simbircite.
Delicate frames, 3" long, saw-cut/stamped freehand, holding incredible simbircite teardrops, flame orange banded with ivory:
All right, tonight's inventory selections.
Today's features are two [literally] fiery photos linked by a new pair of earrings [shown below] set with orange flames.
We have two other pairs of silverwork earrings set with orange flames, albeit different stones.
And even in the best of years, we need to make the equivalent of at least one sale a week to break even. The last two years have been as far from that as it gets.
And we're still 4 weeks behind on the rate we need to maintain.

This pair is set with slightly larger cabochons than the other two pairs, small round specimens of glowing orange kyanite. The orange is a rare material, glowing from within like pure fire. [Their rarity, larger size, and value are reflected in their slightly higher price point.]

This one is different. This is "When Fire and Water Are One": wingssilverwork.com/when-fire-an....
Sterling silver; rare orange kyanite.
As noted above, each 2" drop is saw-cut freehand and hammered by hand, the effect like the shimmer of light on the surface of the water.
All were created in the same classic style, long, dangling drops saw-cut freehand in a kiva steps pattern that doubles as thunderhead imagery. The other two were set with tiny stones of sky and storm, turquoise and royal lapis.
04.03.2026 06:05 β π 3 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0They're linked by one of Wings's newer pairs of earrings, completed only a couple of weeks ago. It's one of 2 remaining of 3 original pairs, the third having already sold.
04.03.2026 06:05 β π 3 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0The second photo is shot from a slightly different angle, and shows a cooler fire: bright orange with plenty of golden yellow, almost amber in hue. The flames seem alive, truly dancing, but the logs are already less ember than ash.

This one, though, is almost neon, and it shows a virtual rainbow of hues, red and orange and yellow, hints of green, bright blue, traces of indigo and violet, too.
[It also made for a perfect segue into the earrings, linking this photo to the second in the post.]
Both are opportunistic shots that Wings captured in digital format.
The first was nothing short of spectacular. It shows the fire burning at very high heat, so hot that red coals and embers are edged wtih blue light [blue being the hottest flame].
They show the same subject as yesterday's, from the same location: a fire blazing hot and bright in our larger woodstove. Both are from March, albeit later in the month: the first, from March 23rd, 2025; the second, a year later, from March 28th, 2024.

This week's mix of imagery and wearable art is built around two thematic photos linked by an apt new silverwork item, a pair of silver and stone earrings.
The photos are both from this time of year . . . in prior years. [Nope, not here; to see his photos, you have to go to the post.]
Now posted at The NDN Silver Blog, it's an edition of Red Willow Spirit for cold days and hard times, when spring arrives too soon and trickster winds make it feel like winter still: wingssilverwork.com/red-willow-s....
