I get up from my seat and take breakfast out of the oven before making Jace a cup of coffee, holding it out as I hear the front door open. -he doesn't live far away, it never takes him long to get here-

I've been up for hours and breakfast is in the oven. I'm sitting at the kitchen counter, sipping coffee and making a list of everything I need to do today. I send Roman and Chai a message.+

I hop out of the truck and take his hand when he gets out. “Come on, old man.”

I relax back into my seat for the rest of the drive, continuing to brush my fingers over his arm

I snort. “I’m sure there’s something. You are a Marino, after all.”

I smile sweetly at him. "And who says you aren't in trouble, mister?"

I reach over and dance my fingers along his arm. "It's delightful how much of a reaction one little name gets out of you."

I bounce into the truck and smile sweetly. "I never claimed to be mature...Charles." I add his full name in a sing song tone to annoy him just a little.

I blow a raspberry at him and stick out my tongue as I walk outside and to his truck

“Honestly…it’s not like I become Anna from that one scene in Frozen when I step outside in the cold.” I pick up the water bottles and head to the door to get my hiking boots and jacket on

I laugh. "I can be out in the cold. I just whine about it and I need warming up after."

I grin. "Sounds great." I move to fill water bottles.

I finish cleaning quickly before drying my hands. "Okay, mister. So where are we going on this long day of walking?"

I swat at him. "You cooked. I'll clean."
