I believe I have what is called the winter blues.

It's November.

This is suboptimal. I've got enough dumb things keeping me from getting as much done as I'd like. The sooner I can get back to being up all night, the better. I need the silence to relax. Still. Bleh.

...She was right, it -is- mildly disconcerting to just have a head sitting around, staring at you.

I'd be lying if I said this experience didn't really tick me off in a very odd way. It's been quite disheartening. I don't get angry often. It's just not a part of who I was made to be, so I'm not sure why such a nothingburger of a thing is getting under my skin so much.

I can either keep practicing and build my own skillset up, or just tap out and save all of the kits I've gotten recently for when I manage to get Gwen stabilized and functional again. Still working on that. She very much does not want to wake back up. It's gonna take some doing.

Not sure I'm cut out for this, if I'm being honest. It's very frustrating. Gwen was good at this, we're the same person at our core, but I've had nothing but frustrating times so far while attempting to keep the ball rolling. Skills just aren't shared between us.

The kit almost has to stand bow-legged because the ankles have basically no give to them, there's almost zero front/back movement other than a bit of toe-tilt, and the aforementioned 'legs fall out nonstop' problem made everything even worse. Just a real letdown for my 1st full kit. #Gunpla

It is physically impossible to make that kit hold the rifle in both arms. They are too stubby and with the Aliens-smart-gun style swivel attached to the front, the range of motion is severely limited. I genuinely don't know how they broke their promo-photo model to achieve those poses. #Gunpla

I would call this kit dogshit, but it might be an actual insult to literal dog shit. The arms fall apart, the legs fall off, it can barely stand up without falling over - and that's without the rifle - and it can't do any poses in the manual except this, and this took minutes of work. 0/10. #Gunpla

Running a fever on Halloween should be illegal. This sucks.

Realized upon topcoating yesterday that I put the decals on the inside edge of the backpack, not the outside. You'd think the pegs would have given it away.

I'll shake these beginners' blues eventually, but it is getting a bit frustrating that I'm so many steps behind Gwen, skill-wise.

I have made the terminal error of thinking "How could I make the HG Exia's little holographic bits pop?" and now I'm being enamored by glitter and color shifting paints. Uh-oh.

We've had this about as long as we've been in the hobby. Gwen figured one day, when she got an airbrush, she could get to it. Well, we don't have an airbrush, but we/I do wanna get better at hand painting. I feel like this is my first actual skill check. I'm nervous but excited to get started.

This argument also works for literally any other group these supposed people of god are raging at. If your god's perfect and has a plan for everyone, then his plan was for me to be be both trans and a gamer. But they get real mad if you use their logic against them! 🤔

An AI alternative to Wikipedia might be the dumbest concept I've heard in awhile. AI is good at making Bob Denver sing War Pigs or accidentally making some truly awful body horror pixel art, but it's trash for doing things correctly and it's actively making people on the internet even dumber.

Taking every last drop of willpower I have not to eat a third York Peppermint Patty today. I only got a 4-pack!

Still. I'll keep us moving forward. Next up is that old Xabungle kit, I think. I'd like to work on improving my painting. Maybe I'll do a smaller kit between them to space them out slightly. I do still need to buy some supplies. Eyedroppers, thinner, etc.

I'm getting a little better. I feel like Gwen's skills are bleeding through at least a tiny bit maybe? I'm still not very confident in my freestyle decal skills. First full kit I've done since I took control, as well. It feels... odd? To work on them? Like I shouldn't be allowed, maybe?

Well, she's as complete as she can be. I didn't find the Delpi Decal set to be very good. They went on fine, but the sheet was tiny. Too tiny to cut out the smaller secondary decals. The result is a fairly empty kit. I did what I could with what I had, though. Hopefully I can topcoat soon. #Gunpla

It is... very cold.

Heater had to be turned on for the first time this year. Will likely get the space heater out later and primarily use that instead. Was also cold when I fell asleep. To the point I was shaking in bed. Wasn't the chills for once. Just couldn't warm up.

Also, I may not have cooked them for the right amount of time? It has 'if making one/if making two' on them... but they count a single package as being '2' because it lists the box as having 4 sticks despite it only having 2 packages. So I'll try the higher time tomorrow. Also: burned my tongue!

Tried the cheese variant, but I have pepperoni, too. I found the latter first and the former earlier today on that York Peppermint Patty run. I'll try the pepperoni tomorrow. Historically, we haven't been big on cubed pepperoni. Thick cuts of meat set off our gag reflex. It's very annoying.

These don't have a crisping sleeve either, but the shell is thinner so they don't get rock hard in places like Hot Pockets currently do. The taste is slightly off, but it's still good. It's still boiling hot goo in a pocket. Cleared my sinuses right up. Corners are a bit tough, but that's expected.

Tried some Jack's Pizza Sticks today. They're like a Hot Pocket if an idiot scored it down the middle. I dunno why you'd ever wanna pull it apart like it says to. Then all the magma in the middle would gush out. Still, in a world without Hot Pockets' crisping sleeves, these are a good replacement.

That's the tiniest juice box I've ever seen. What's that like an ounce and a half or so?

I've started Episode II. Was every scene with Anakin and Padme a first take? Because it -really- feels that way. Neither of those actors wanted to be there reading those lines. Yikes. Anakin's gotten whiny as he grew up. And Jango Fett's just as bad a fighter as his son will be.
