Wasn't there something odd with frame pacing still at 30 on PS5? I remember hearing it wasn't perfect on some DF vid so maybe that's why

Hell if they don't have time to test out the kinks just give me a cap without graphic changes and work out frame pacing later

But despite it all I will be playing on S2 because damn it looks pretty and damn it sure is portable though

It has to be something with the RE Engine because none of their Switch 2 releases allow caps at all it's really weird!

RE9 I can live with uncapped, the major drops are rare and it hits close to 60 most of the time

This is a massive scale turn based RPG I and many others are okay playing this at 30 fps on Switch 2.

Not sure why I'm seeing MHS3 Switch 2 video reviews covering the wildly unlocked framerate as if it's not a big deal.

Like yeah I'm probably going to be just fine but I'm a freak. Why is it jumping all over from 30-60 it's 2026 😭

Would love to see them try to be honest! This robust of a mercenaries is a bit of a gold standard and should ship in all new ones

Vibes and atmosphere are a bit interchangeable in my eyes. My point is that there's plenty to enjoy in most RE games outside of mastering them for, I just don't get the urge to replay the campaign on 6. Mercenaries No Mercy gives me enough to make up for that though, game isn't without merit

It is very funny to claim that atmosphere is not an important aspect to a resident evil game lol

It went without saying that I play these to enjoy the gameplay. I can just do that with most of the other games while also appreciating visuals, vibes, atmosphere, and even the ridiculous stories.

I think it kind of works out for my sporadic play schedule, since I'll just stop playing and come back at those moments, but I can see how it'd be annoying for people who want to binge it

Will have to see how things develop later, but this will be a fun casual game to play over time. It's nice!

I don't think I played much of 1, but I'm glad it doesn't have a ridiculously slow multi hour tutorial level to bog down the pacing like with 2. It's very open and takes the training wheels off early.
