I've worked on many historic buildings and have never seen a staircase like this proposed one.

30.11.2025 11:07 β π 344 π 70 π¬ 49 π 79Update. I'm told Bob Vylan (embarrassingly) and Plaid are also from Suffolk.
30.11.2025 16:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's all depressing, and I can only presume they were not members of the Musicians Union, which seems like a mistake.
30.11.2025 16:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh no. The two biggest musical acts from Suffolk (sorry Nik Kershaw, Brian Eno, The Darkness & Benjamin Britten) are wrapped up in a legal dispute.
Though I love the idea that the final straw for Cradle Of Filth musicians was collabbing with Sheeran...

Top find by a friend here. Directed by old school friend Isa, who went on to be in bigger performances as The Machine that worked with Florence.
29.11.2025 23:15 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0At school some friends & I put on Fifteen Minute Hamlet, a silly, short farce by Tom Stoppard. We had hundreds of people come see it,more than went to see the official school play, a long, tired rendition of Kindertransport. Stoppard came to see our play. The drama teacher didn't speak to us after.

It's *not* good pay. My pay is not not not good
We laugh. But this is pay isn't a huge amount less than I get as a professional writer not using AI. It's good pay for, as the OP says, a soul destroying, fucked up job

27.11.2025 17:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Amy Schumer Is Helping Develop an Exciting Israeli Rom-Com The movie is inspired by lead actor Yadin Gellman's own story from October 7. kvellercom Amy Schumer is an expert at making comedy out of life's painful moments, so we're excited to see her help bring "Now More Than Ever" to life β an Israeli rom-com about a wounded soldier who becomes a "poster boy" for Israel and travels to New York, where he is paired with a Jewish American escort who feels that "if she hears the words Israel or Zionism again, she will join the protests against him herself." It's a premise that, if done well, sounds like it could be truly hilarious and very relatable. Read more about the film and its creator Yadin Gellman (who based the story on his own life) at the link in our bio.
nobody asked for there to be a rom-com about the online israeli domme, but here we are, amy schumer

25.11.2025 01:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hah. I've not read it. I will. Though the names already are trad before I jump on. Jeff Wall and Thomas Demand though....
25.11.2025 01:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'll read deeper into it. I'm just very tired of "photography" rooting back to the 19th century when average it covers a vast range of evolutionarily processes. And in the sector and from without, it's quite tiring to go to photography events / exhibitions refusing to acknowledge technological shift
25.11.2025 01:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fair. I just guess I'm tired of "future of photography" discussions since 1910 with the same result, that for the mostpart the people who ask the question are feeling fixated on a specific period, modality and definition of photography. Usually hooked on one of these first two photos:
25.11.2025 00:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is this a new thing, though? I did an MA Fine art photography in 2010 because most of my photographic knowledge was digital and I leapt into analogue (though left it after). I mean, don't we constantly discover the before, and it's not digital/analogue but just ongoing shift?
25.11.2025 00:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A 4G pitch costs nearly Β£100k in the UK - & I understand 'infrastructure' & costs are different everywhere. But at this scale, $1bn isn't actually a lot, though it's a great clickbait headline figure for a corrupt organisation welcoming murderous fascists to destroy the "world game".
25.11.2025 00:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Shame on the @theguardian.com for this totally uncritical, incurious puff piece on behalf of a former colleague that makes no effort to interrogate the people behind the imaginary, call out the AI slop, or really think beneath the surface at all.
