The more distance I have between me and my read-through of Full Metal Daemon Muramasa, the more I really dislike the philosophical and ethical frameworks it offers, all of which seem to culminate in ideological dead ends that mostly just shrug at the ugliness of the world and draw false comparisons.

Krasznahorkai’s writing simultaneously makes me feel one with the universe and hopelessly alone in a void completely absent of meaning or value.

If society punish you for not worshipping evil people, you're living in an evil empire

I feel more and more paranoid each day and feel less and less like I’ll ever have a place in this world. It’s just dreadful. I wish I knew how to be like some of you who can just lock in and knuckle on through life. I feel like all I do is stumble, fail, and disappoint.

I used to be so terrified of death to the point I had weekly panic attacks and would scream hysterically and punch myself the second I thought of the very concept. Now I just hope one day to not wake up, because I truly can’t fathom nothingness isn’t preferable to eternal decline.

I seriously think if it wasn’t for my girlfriend, I’d be hanging myself right now given how absolutely vile the world is on every conceivable level right now. The human race is such a pathetic dead end of evolution.
