Eureka Seven hugs.

My friends keep bugging me to read One Piece. I'm not super interested but knowing there's a Hosoda film I haven't yet seen is probably the best hook for getting me into it.

Scarlet does occasionally have some really cool visuals but it unfortunately has the most boring plank of wood secondary protagonist I've ever seen. That and the movie just does not flow together well at all. Idek if Mirai is worse but it bored me which is never better.

Updated Mamoru Hosoda ranking. The top 3 are the real good shit.

I remember being a lot more positive on Endless Waltz when I first watched it but idk, it's really dumb in a way I'm not sure I'm as entertained by anymore. Definitely glad to have seen the 4k remaster in theatres though that shit was gorgeous, so much eye candy.

Regardless of everything it's kind of nice to be playing a Metroid game with real music again.

2025 movies ranked. Not a strong year but I really liked everything in my top 10.

Still have lots of important films to catch up on this month so we'll see how it shifts.

Took me most of the year but yes, absolutely loved it.

Le Guin almost certainly becoming my favourite author, so excited to read more of her in 2026.

The books I read in 2025! Strong year of reading for me. I would have read more but I tackled Proust while my French is still rusty so that certainly made me take longer. Definitely worth it though because it's now one of my all time favourites, will definitely reread.
