Hot take: With the US withdrawal from WHO, cutting off 20% of their source of fundsโฆ there are places like Kakuma refugee camp that will fall to their knees. The healthcare system there is heavily reliant on NGOs and this is going to be very very tricky moving forward.

When you deploy Kubernetes, you usually begin your access with a certificate. It's easy, it's simple, it doesn't require a login, and it's a TERRIBLE IDEA!!!!! Friends don't let friends use certificates for accessing Kubernetes. For TBT, our blog post explains why!

1. Impact. How much revenue does my work protect or generate?
2. Quality. Does my work meet or exceed customer expectations?
3. Efficiency. Reward making the right buy versus build decision.
4. Reusability. How do others leverage my work?
5. Supportability. How much work do I create for others?
I've got only one resolution. Stay focused.
21.01.2025 02:06 โ ๐ 12906 ๐ 915 ๐ฌ 174 ๐ 23The following benefits greatly outweigh that one drawback:
- markdown-based format making it easy to move these notes to my future blog
- lightweight and snappy
- customization with plugins
- notion lacks enough depth to be regarded as a โsecond brainโ ๐ง
Great question Casen, and I appreciate your curiosity!
So far thereโs only one feature I would have loved to have in Obsidian, which technically already exists, just behind a paywall. Thatโs the ability to sync my notes between my devices.
Other than that, I donโt miss notion at all.
Officially migrated all my notes from Notion to Obsidian ๐
Just finished installing the Excalidraw addon and now I have my system architecture diagrams right where I want them, beside my notes.
Migration was simple and direct. Obsidianโs minimalism and simplicity was just too hard to resist. ๐
This is genius!!
19.01.2025 08:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This gives me a top-level overview of what Iโm about to read. Like reading source material before attending a lecture in uni. Itโs a hack. Listening to it as I do the dishes, on a walk, on my commute. Very worth it. Iโm definitely going to commit to the plus version of this.
