Damn it, *sensory overload

All this to say that I'm at a show in a mask, earplugs, and hiding from the lights and I think Dan would really have had a chuckle at me both wanting to participate in sensitive overload and wanting to insulate myself from it at the same time.

I have a phone in a box I refuse to wipe and recycle because it has our final year of text messages. How do you just let go of things like that? It's like the ghosts in my phone contact list, gone but never forgotten, I stumble over them in mistyped words and long scrolls looking for others.

One of the great tragedies of shifting from one platform to another is the loss of all the shared history I had with late friends. Losing Twitter was a gut punch bc Dan was so prolific there. Losing Facebook another, all those photos and memories. Piece by piece I lose Dan Kaminsky. Over and over.

Weeknight: alarm at 6:30, snooze until 6:45, trudge downstairs at 7, out the door with hair in a ponytail at 7:50

Weekend: no alarm, wake at 5:30, downstairs with coffee in hand 6:30, chapter 4 of my book 8am.

This seems......backwards.
