Sorry but personally if a miniature horse woke me up from anesthesia by banging out nonsense on a miniature keyboard it would send me into a liminal space between life and death from which I would never return

I listened to that thing in the car. What was that? Like 1985 isn't so different from today, "except for smartphones"!? 1985 was far more similar to 1945 than compared to today. Middle-aged men talking about their Golden Age Fallacy... Couldn't stop thinking about Mountainhead, too.

Wonder if the Liquid Glass design thing isn't some sort of precursor to some future augmented overlay thing they first wanted to get people familiarized with and are now scrambling to revisit.

Toilet paper orientation - Wikipedia

Holy shit, somehow I have remained unaware of what is apparently a raging, long-running debate about toilet paper orientation. Had a friend send this to me and, incredibly, *endorse the "under" position*. You think you know someone.

Man, I used to do surveys in bars about this (after a few drinks). Never thought this is an actual thing worthy of its own Wikipedia page! Results were similar: 70% preferred 'over'. Other question I asked: do you stand facing the shower or with your back? Found that movies are generally wrong.

They always say the journey is more important than the destination. Maybe the same can be said about the journey towards the journey. 😊

Read the paper in one breath, absolutely loved it. Only thing I wondered though: would it require some sort of double electricity contract for the user, with a submeter for the HP's electricity if the 3rd party isn't a pure utility? It would require the 3rd party to do energy retailing?

Trump placed a 145% import tax on Chinese imports and China responded by saying you can’t buy these from us anymore at any price.

Trump thought they were playing chess but Xi was actually playing Uno. Reverse.
