My Instagram algo is horrifyingly accurate but in the opposite direction.

The issue with it for me is that it takes my attention away from real life infront of me, but my algorithm slaps, as the kids say

That being said, limiting Instagram or social media as a whole is better for my mental health. I feel better the less I'm on it.

But Instagram is by far the least worst for me, and has been useful in many ways.

Bluesky is where I am exposed to the mentally harmful stuff, as in the inhumane American atrocities especially as a Canadian.

I go to Instagram for an uplifting reprieve from here particularly when there's some awful event that sparks the timeline.

I might be in the minority but my experience has been the opposite.

My Instagram algorithm is incredible. I can't remember the last time it showed me something particularly harmful.

It's mostly obscurely hilarious videos, dogs playing with babies, or workout stuff.
