For FireRed I got all the way to the Elite 4, but lost to Gary so I lost motivation to do it all again

I'm REALLY into Pokémon rn so I've been playing a not finished save i had of FireRed, and playing Shining Pearl for the first time! I haven't beaten either of these (actually I've never finished a Pokémon game), here are my teams for both!

Last few weeks have been incredibly difficult, feels like I've just been taking one hit after another and it's becoming hard to keep up. Thankfully I'm going on vacation with my wife and friends this weekend, bc idk how much more I got in me before I just kind of shut down

I'm doing that thing again I do when I'm burnt out and depressed where I rapidly cycle through a bunch of fixations and am completely turned off of all my other special interests. Rn all I can handle is Pokemon

I didn't think that RE9 could perfectly balance the feeling of both the RE7-8 gameplay and like the 4-6 gameplay so well but WOW they really did. I was so on edge during Grace's sections and so fucking hype beyond belief during Leon's.

The new starters are a bit boring to me unfortunately. Surprised the bird wasn't the water type considering the games are Wind and Wages seems like a slam dunk
