i am being told the 2026 nominations committee did not pick proven dedicated ppl to be in leadership, and chose ppl that have “business and finance experience” and want to run SD59 like a business.

A bill with $40 million in rent relief is headed to the Minnesota Senate floor next week. Lead author @lindseyportmn.bsky.social crafted a bill that addresses the urgency of the moment.

Plus, the bill includes my provision to extend pre eviction notices from 14 to 30 days temporarily.

I was proud to author an ordinance in 2023 moving mandating a 30-day rental pre-eviction notice in Minneapolis.

Sadly, we’re barely going to pass the temporary 60-day notice tomorrow and then face the threat of a veto.

Minneapolis Councilwoman LaTrisha Vetaw making some pretty wild claims about what “support” she offered Ward 4 schools, that is extremely easy to prove (more like disprove).

MPS teachers are still teaching our students in-person and online in google meets (until April 6) w/ zero input to our working conditions, raising thousands of dollars for rent relief, providing mental health supports for our students, & delivering food 2x a week.
