The data is in: the NIH goalposts have shifted.

What were once almost certain fundable scores have become coin flips and what used to be likely grants have become aspirational, leading to fewer awards.

Another manifestation of how HHS policies have led to fewer awards and less science.

I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones.

Minnesota Officials Say They’ve Been Blocked From Investigation Into Federal Agent’s Killing of a Minneapolis Resident State officials said they took the unusual step of obtaining a search warrant for the scene but were still denied access by Department of Homeland Security officials.

NEWS: Minnesota investigators just said they were unable to do any work on the scene where Border Patrol agents shot and killed a US citizen.

They even went so far as to obtain a search warrant, and DHS still blocked their access to the scene.

Trump’s ICE Goons Detained a 5-Year-Old. Then JD Vance Made It Worse. Much of the media is treating the vice president’s Minneapolis visit as an attempt to lower the temperature. If anything, he raised it.
