Seriously, S1 Stede is extremely sexy. The clothes are attractive, but that "bizarre, weird little man" also wore them beautifully and with pizzazz.

Imperiled merStede? (Serious or silly.) Mer-smut? Stede falling over in a mermaid costume? Ed getting his kraken costume arms tangled up in things? MerEd trying to fish?

I'm always hankering for new fic, because every fic might be a fic I'll love; but OFMD has so much fic and I'm still reading through "old" fic and finding fic to love. Slowing down is inevitable, but we're still very lucky as a fandom.

He is fantastic as Stede. I was loving the comedy, watching the first episode, but his expression and his delivery of "A little bit," when Nigel mocks how Stede used to cry and pick flowers was the exact moment I fell in love with Stede. He's such a wonderful mix of silliness and heart.

I'm sure it's been done, but I tallied up the minutes, and #OFMD S2 is 25% shorter than S1. That's including S2's after-credits and being as generous as possible.

S1: 291 min
S2: 217 min

Those extra 5% may just be how the editing shook out! But 25% is a hell of a cut to an already short runtime.

Damn, I definitely understand going with them in that case. At least they have local pick-up points now! The first time, years and years ago, I think they had one (1) in the whole country.
