My latest blog piece, Starmer's support for Trump's illegal war in Iran may be the final blow that finishes off Labour's already struggling Scottish branch office.

Funny how politicians who are most keen on whining about immigration and refugees and asylum seekers are also very keen on starting the wars that create refugees and asylum seekers.

If Anas Sarwar has been told not to commentate on UK politics, how exactly does he expect us to believe he'll function as a First Minister? Westminster will make some awful policy decision and the FM will go - "I'm not allowed to talk about that."

Labour's Scottish election campaign conference. A few dozen people in a mostly empty auditorium.

Labour's Scottish election campaign conference. A few dozen people in a mostly empty auditorium.

A picture paints a thousand words, Labour's Scottish campaign conference is a picture of a demoralised and defeated party. Hold your nose and vote Labour is not the winning slogan Anas Sarwar hopes it is. It's the last desperate plea from a dying party. Westminster rule in Scotland dies with Labour.

Starmer is not taking the defeat in Gorton & Denton at all well. In brief, it's not Labour's fault that it lost badly, it's all the fault of the beastly Greens for being endorsed by George Galloway. This does not bode well for the Labour party in the months ahead.

The schadenfruede is strong today about Matt Goodwin losing heavily to the Greens in Gorton & Denton. I can't imagine the levels of twattishness it takes to spend months punching down on British Muslims and then being upset that they didn't vote for you.

Goodwin - Bad Loser, lessons from the Gorton & Denton by-election for Scotland and UK politics as a whole. As we learned from Caerffili, the rise of Reform is not inevitable, Reform can be defeated by progressive pro Scottish & Welsh indy parties.

My latest blog post. With the recent mega poll putting support for independence on 57%, crossing the psychologically important 60% threshold of support for independence is within our grasp.

My latest blog piece, the second poll within a month puts the SNP on track to win a majority in its own right in Holyrood in May, with the added bonus that Jackie Baillie loses her seat.

Yes, a lot of countries don't allow dual citizenship. Luckily my husband's country (USA) does so he's able to get dual citizenship. He has to go back to America for his work occasionally so if he'd had to give up his US citizenship it wouldn't have been an option for us.

It did thanks, his citizenship ceremony is next week. At least he'll now get Scottish citizenship when we become independent.

That's hardly surprising given the shameful state of the media in Scotland. They'd rather see Scotland fall into the clutches of English nationalist fascists than become independent.

We just coughed up £3700 in Home Office and lawyer fees to get my husband British citizenship. It was not easy to scrape the money together but we couldn't risk not doing it.

Reform's plan to expand stop and search will mean racial profiling and Black & minority ethnic people being detained until they can prove their British citizenship. The claim that only law breaking "illegal migrants" will be targeted is as likely as Farage appearing in Clacton.

The EU is poised to adopt new measures to speed up and simplify the accession process for candidate member states to become part of the EU. This would also make the accession process to the EU much faster and easier for an independent Scotland.

After I refused to endorse Alba when it was launched in 2021, one of their members sent me these texts.

"Why don't you fuck off to America with your pervert squeeze and die of Aids" and " I wish it was you who had died instead of your dog."

So forgive me for not being upset about Alba's collapse.

Andrew was second in line to the throne right up until Charles and Diana had their first son. If Charles had died before having a child, Andrew would be king now. That's the insanity of having a hereditary head of state.

My late partner's brother in law was in the Royal Protection Squad in the 1970s. He said Andrew was widely loathed for being rude, arrogant, entitled, and thick as mince. He also said one of his duties was to provide protection for the flat where Prince Philip met with his many girlfriends.
