Yes, a lot of countries don't allow dual citizenship. Luckily my husband's country (USA) does so he's able to get dual citizenship. He has to go back to America for his work occasionally so if he'd had to give up his US citizenship it wouldn't have been an option for us.

It did thanks, his citizenship ceremony is next week. At least he'll now get Scottish citizenship when we become independent.

That's hardly surprising given the shameful state of the media in Scotland. They'd rather see Scotland fall into the clutches of English nationalist fascists than become independent.

We just coughed up £3700 in Home Office and lawyer fees to get my husband British citizenship. It was not easy to scrape the money together but we couldn't risk not doing it.
