Good evening from Washington DC. I set myself a target today to get to Washington Dulles Airport from London and then take the Metro into town in time to snap pictures of the White House before dark. I made it just before dusk.

This is probably as close as you can get to where the Palisades wildfire is still burning. Lifeguard’s tell me the fire covered the area from the two white buildings right around the bay and burned all the way to the ocean. #PalisadesWildfire

Landing into Los Angeles International earlier. The skyscrapers 🏙️ of downtown clearly visible as is the smoke haze from the wild fire 🔥 in the Angeles National Forest.

Los Angeles 🇺🇸 bound first thing in the morning for a well earned weeks holiday after working all over Christmas. Despite the current fires 🔥 it’s a city I’ve come to love ❤️ since I first visited in 2012. This time, I’m heading South to Long Beach.

Absolutely heartbroken to hear of the passing of Linda Nolan. We met at the Derngate Theatre in Northampton in the early days of my Radio career to record an interview. The Nolans music sounds as great today as it was back in the 1970's and 1980's. #RIP
