"I don't know what you would call it other than mass starvation, and it's man-made, and that's very clear."

I guess this is the problem with having a political/campaign guy as CoS? The lens is how it looks not how it actually fixes the problem, which is antithetical to everything Starmer is theoretically about

Today, I joined Goaldiggers FC on their 12 mile walk from East London to Wembley in protest against the FAβs decision to ban trans women from competing in womenβs football.

Youβre telling me that right wing voters that Labour was trying to appeal to voted for a right wing party anyway and left wing voters decided not to vote for Labour because theyβre too right wing now? Who could have possibly predicted this.

To our trans friends:
We see you. Weβre with you. Trans people belong β everywhere. Including in football.
The events of the last few weeksβ have been a result of a catastrophic failure of leadership and courage from our politicians, media, and society as a whole.
Women's sport is vastly underfunded, has numerous issues surrounding abuse, multiple events are pushed aside for the men's game and a stigma about picking up a sport as a young girl. All of these are vastly, vastly more important to tackle than the fake notion of trans women in sport being a threat.

My gentle suggestion to Labour frontbenchers β as someone who knocked on doors for them in the general election β is to stop trying to gaslight the country into thinking we're not heading back to austerity.
Gaslighting didn't work for the Tories, and it won't work for Labour.
Disabled people need greater financial support from the government β not draconian cuts that will drive more people into poverty. We're deeply concerned about the impact the benefit cuts announced today will have on disabled people.

βIt really is an essential lifeline. I donβt feel that I would be able to function without it.β
I spoke to one PIP claimant about the importance of disability benefit - and looked at what's at stake when the government sets out its plans next week
www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...
The government is planning to cut disability benefits. This could have a devastating impact on disabled people.
We need as many MPs as possible to speak out against disability benefits cuts before they're announced as early as Monday.
Ask your MP now: action.sense.org.uk/page/167765/...

93.3% of LGBTQ+ people who took part in our survey said stronger enforcement of punishment for homophobia was likely or extremely likely to improve their experience of football.
The current state of affairs isn't good enough.

NEW: The vast majority of LGBTQ+ people responding to an @outandout.football survey want homophobic abuse in football to be tackled more seriously.
