The Choctaw Nation, only 16 yrs after the Trail of Tears relocation, gave Ireland $170 during the "famine".

Now, in 2026, one of my oldest friends is Diné and Choctaw, and I'm Irish (among other things).

All these decades, and our people are still friends.
