Miksi #mustarastas on yksi #ilmastonmuutos hyötyjistä? Lämpeneminen pidentää pesimäkautta. Ensimmäiset munat munitaan maaliskuussa. Kuvan poikaset (Helsinki tänään) jo kolmas pesintäkierros. Harva laji pystyy tähän.

Seed dispersal disruption limits tropical forest regrowth | PNAS

understanding the scope of these interconnected challenges and de...
Our new study shows how animal biodiversity loss is a climate problem: tropical forests recover far less carbon where seed dispersers have declined.
We’re not just losing forests – we’re losing their ability to regrow.
Reversing that trend could align biodiversity recovery with climate solutions.🧵

Global change reshuffles species communities: who could interact with whom? We introduce new ways to measure the capacity of species & communities to rewire interactions, which can be used to predict how ecological networks might adapt to changing conditions.

A screen capture of the science article on the CBC homepage today, which features a picture of me and a title reading “prominent climate scientist argues it’s time to ditch the myth of neutrality in science.”
Was not expecting to open the main CBC page this morning and see this!
In today’s climate, I feel our message is even more relevant than even just a few months ago when the interview was recorded.
