Reading about the "death" of Google-research leveraging web site traffic because AI now answers first and directly. Which today, following a question of mine, gave: "It's highly unlikely that Prince Andrew will resume public royal duties or visit Sainte-Rose, Laval, QC." Darn, I had hoped. Not. 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Trump has removed, or tried to, 3 women from leading roles in art institutions: Deborah Rutter at Kennedy Center, Carla Hayden at Library of Congress and now Sajet at Smithsonian. The same happened in military. I’m surprised women are not up in arms and making this front page news… :(

A first for me, tonight I came across a cookbook sold on Amazon and transparent (?) enough to list ChatGPT as a co-author. Just wow. Has anyone seen other books partly credited to AI? 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

#Montreal #desserts Trompe l’oeil pastries from ÔFauria in Laval, maybe 1 of 3 shops in Greater Montreal to follow the trend re-started by Cedric Grolet in France. Expensive ($19 each!) but really cool and delish. I took macaron lessons from chef Faure, happy to see the place was packed. ofauria.com

Willing to take on anybody about which city makes the best bagels (Montreal, duh) and who invented poutine. As you can see, my expertise is quite gastronomical.

Rosanna by Toto. I just can’t. No insight, there are surely worse songs out there but shackles raised every time.

Lol, there’s a book coming out in October, I’ll circle back and share it for free with pleasure (they take 10 minutes, literally). Who knew! 🤷♀️

#whatscooking Testing for new cookbook, pesto and parmesan flaky pastry straws. So easy it’s a wonder I never made these sooner (with store-bought pastry, let’s be real). 🍽️🍜

Fun: ask Chat what it knows about you from interactions. «You prefer in-depth explanations rather than simplified ones. Your writing shows strong skills in investigation, fact-checking, and conceptual depth. You value precision, elegance, thoughtful articulation.» Oh, and I like melancholic music! 🙈

Beyond the human and legal story, what fascinates are frankly the Hollywood production values. It feels very Orwelian for the 21st C, a contrived spectacle of political manipulation. Knowing that those it’s intended for don’t see the manipulation and only feel triumphant and vindicated. Scary.

‘A machine-shaped hand’: Read a story from OpenAI’s new creative writing model
Posting the piece online, OpenAI’s Sam Altman said this is the first time he has been “really struck” by AI writing
This AI-generated short story by OpenAI is controversial for implicitely revealing it HAS been training on copyright fiction. It’s also so good it hurts on every level. Our world just turned on a dime. www.theguardian.com/books/2025/m...

Today’s “business” people go online, find contract templates and copy from each just in case. When my husband renewed his warehouse lease with new owners, they handed him a 44 page lease with $200k penalties (if you understood the import). Took a lawyer and 6 months to whittle it down to 7 pages…

Oh didn’t capture, not a camera girlie. But owls perch at the top of this tall tree behind our house, on this long dead branch, and you see their silhouettes against the sky. Magical. Too far up unless you have a pro camera. My talents are limited to occasional ducks in the pool & visiting turkeys…

I looove so many birds and I have a teen who is crazy about birds of prey, so I hear about them a lot and almost get into car accidents when he suddenly yells: "Mom, look, an eagle!" That said, this is probably my guy... I've seen one in the wild, I could never not gasp out loud.
