A photo from the trail at Land’s End park in San Francisco, looking out toward the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. It’s a sunny day and the sky is bright blue (isn’t it always?) with some fluffy clouds near the horizon. The water is a lovely rich blue color as well. The foreground is shady and lush with shrubs and grasses. The reaching limbs of an evergreen tree (cypress?) are partially silhouetted against the sky.
A view of lush green woods from the Land’s End trail in San Francisco. The ground is carpeted with ferns and crawling understory plants. Most of the tree trunks are covered thickly in vining plants. The trees provide a good deal of shade from the sun shining brightly behind them.
A photo from the backseat of a Waymo, a self-driving car. The view through the windshield is an uphill street lined with pretty apartment buildings, trees, and parked cars. Someone is sitting in the front passenger seat, but the driver’s seat is empty. Screens in the dashboard and backseat console show the car’s route overlaid with a live feed what it “sees” with LiDAR: ghostly blue representations of cars and pedestrians.
A POV photo of the table at Honey Honey Cafe & Crepery in San Francisco. KPo’s plate is loaded with a massive crepe topped with pesto and a side of mixed fruit. Her husband has a crepe drowned in Hollandaise sauce, with a side of breakfast potatoes. They each have coffee, served in a cute mug branded with the restaurant’s logo.
In other news, we went to San Francisco briefly and it was quite an adventure!! The landscape is unbelievable, and the city is unlike anything I’ve seen before. Already daydreaming about coming back for a proper tour of California!
