Just out of curiosity, per B-Ref he got 3.8% of available votes in 1936 (pretty solid considering every player in history was eligible) then never got another vote from the writers or from any committee. Any insight into what happened there?

All these same arguments basically also apply to Oswalt, right? And many apply similarly to Cliff Lee, who had the added edge of being a beast in the playoffs. I want to be fully behind Felix but find it hard to know where to draw the line with the β€œelite for X years” arguments
