I am pleased to announce that I run with the sort of folks who will pack out a karaoke booth at a bowling alley if I start a WhatsApp group to instigate it.
Tracklist for karaoke sadly does not include The Rat by The Walkmen but I suppose I canβt have everything.
The perfume company I have been buying scents off of for over two decades is releasing a fragrance called Ceaselessly By My Side The Demon Stirs and the name and the scent description is completely my jam right now.

I had such a lovely time at These Hills on the weekend. The folks at Beak are really good at this sort of thing.
12.08.2025 18:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Gentle reminder to everyone in London and also anyone commuting on Southern Rail and Thameslink to please consider deodorant and showering.
Thank you.
Working the last beer festival the brewery I work for is taking part in this weekend, and then we are DONE for external festivals for the year.
Cannot wait to get back to some video games I haven't touched in too long, as well as work on some TTRPG nonsense.
I hope those of you GBBFing are having a GBBFing good time. π»

05.08.2025 17:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh well, we could always go to the Bermondsey Beer Mile and talk about what we're reading in the LRB and whatever.
22.07.2025 15:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I got 5 and the vast majority were in the first reply.
So when should we all go? Euan's back in London now, too.
Oh, perhaps. I never worked for BrewDog so I don't have that sort of insider knowledge.
22.07.2025 14:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So wild that the Shoreditch site is closing, considering how it was once BrewDog's busiest bar.

10.07.2025 06:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, I was considering creating an account that gets very occasional updates just for those tagging purposes.
09.07.2025 16:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks for that insight!
09.07.2025 16:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah I definitely feel like it might be something a bit more for individuals rather than actual businesses.
09.07.2025 16:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Folks, if you have a business or brand, how does Bluesky fit into your social media promo, if at all?
I did see @totalcurtis.bsky.social musing about personal usage of Bluesky but what do we think about its use for businesses, particularly in the drinks industry? Is it relevant?

I was working at a beer festival all day yesterday and had a guy from Northern Ireland ask my if I was Irish.
He did not seem that drunk.
Apart from the rhotic βRβs, I absolutely do not sound Irish.
(I think?????)
Honestly forgot it was US Independence Day until a colleague wished me a Happy 4th of July.
Hooray, we freed ourselves from the yoke of tyranny oh wait.
As you know, I'm mainly just posting nihilist memes, 1990s anime references, and links to songs surrounding my new obsession with Taiwanese shoegaze on Instagram.
I pop in to Bluesky 1-2 times per week, and my feed here is mainly beer folks who I followed on Twitter who aren't on Instagram. πΈ
As a person, my Twitter feed became more of a mess; it actually got starkly focused on a few of my more niche interests (even more niche than craft beer, imagine) or it was super irrelevant. My notifications also had nothing to do with me.
The account still exists but I last posted last November.
All booked to see the Yoshitomo Nara exhibit at the Hayward Gallery next week! So hyped!

Is there anything more infuriating and Catch-22-esque than using the Ryanair website and the fact that it forces you to download their app in order to get your boarding passes?

17.06.2025 17:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sweet! I think my main question is "Which one should I get?"
I have a PS5 as well (or actually, my boyfriend has but I'm planning to get one for myself as well), but sometimes I just want to pick up and play something for a hot minute and not have to play on the big screen.
The US gov under Trump has made it clear that only *positive* views of concentration camps will be allowed, thank you. The new signs at Manzanar National Historic Site ask visitors to report any depictions that "inappropriately disparage Americans past or living.β

I've been contemplating getting one! I mainly play games on my iPad at the moment (Zenless and Honkai Star Rail), and I really like playing handheld on my sofa. There's a ton of games on Steam I don't have access to because I'm a ride-or-die Mac user.
17.06.2025 11:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hahaha I've been getting these too on Facebook.
I have a friend who is actually looking into this and it's an expensive process. I think she's going to wind up paying at least $5k.
Meanwhile I'm clinging to my citizenship just so I can cancel out one of my parents' votes. π₯²
