Yeahh, I recall feeling disappointed by how stale and lifeless Galaxy 2’s presentation felt compared to the original. A fun little hub world makes or breaks 3D platformers for me.

it sucks having such an unbalanced visual library, cause I’m always drawing the same stuff by accident. It’s crazy how hard it is to work against my bias toward drawing only what I know.

I’d say that’s pretty close to my current process, though my sketches are extremely messy so I hide the layer asap. I wonder if my biggest issue is just that I’m not cleaning up my sketches enough before rendering lol

That’s been my mindset, but the people who are unshackled from lines and just paint seem so…free
