10 فوریه 1976 معاون وزیر دفاع جناب بیل کلمنتس اجازه تولید انبوه رو صادر نمودند و تا 1984 تعداد 715 هواپیما شامل دو پروتوتایپ و 6 عدد نسخه تحقیقاتی ساخته و تحویل شدن. و خلاصه که این شد که A-10 به دنیا اومد، در مورد آپگرید ها و ورژن های دیگه شاید بعدا توضیح دادم.

یک نسخه دو سرنشینه برای شب/آب و هوای نامناسب (N/AW) تولید شد که افسر سیستم تسلیحات کابین عقبش مسئول ناوبری،ECM و هدفیابی بود که خب متاسفانه نه نیرو هوایی نه مشتری های خارجی خواهانش شدن و تنها نسخه دو سرنشین این غول زیبا در Edwards Air Force Base نگهداری میشه.
