Donald Trump doesn’t get to ignore laws just because he feels like it. CONGRESS decides how taxpayer money is spent, and this funding was already approved by law.

It makes me sick to hear about the shooting today in Grand Blanc. Places of worship should always be safe. I’m thinking about the victims, and all of the family and community members. My heart goes out to them.

Deploying around the world showed me that America is the greatest country on Earth. What makes us great is that we hold our freedoms dear - and that includes the freedom of speech.

I’ve spent my career defending our freedoms, and I’ll keep fighting to protect them in Congress.

Right now, I’m the only candidate in this race who’s taken the pledge. And just like I did this summer, I challenge every other candidate in this race to put the country first and do the same thing.

I said I wouldn’t accept a single cent of corporate PAC money, and when I’m elected, I’ll support a ban on stock trading by members of Congress, and work to get dark money out of our elections.

End Citizens United Fixing our democracy by getting big money out of politics and protecting the right to vote.

Americans should be able to trust that their leaders are serving the people - not corporations, not political parties, and not themselves.

VP JD Vance to Visit Howell Manufacturing Facility Wednesday To deliver remarks on President Trump’s tax cuts for working families and businesses.

JD Vance should be coming to Michigan to apologize for the 42,000 manufacturing jobs he, Donald Trump, and Tom Barrett have destroyed with their chaotic tariffs, and for kicking Michiganders off their health care to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy.

Tonight was our first official “friend-raiser” of the campaign - a chance for supporters to help us grow our network by inviting their own friends, neighbors, and community to come hear about the race.

At the end of the day, this bill is a net negative for our pocketbooks - no matter how you try to spin it.

Really, Tom Barrett? Michiganders aren’t "excited about" the double-digit rate increases in healthcare for everyone next year, or the massive cuts to Medicaid that kick millions of people off their insurance.

It is once again time to answer America’s call to serve. Today it’s a call to strengthen our democracy by remembering that we have more in common than we appreciate, and we need to work together to solve the issues at hand. It’s not easy, but Americans always rise to the challenge.

Never forget.

9/11 was a day that changed America, and it changed my life too. I was a Navy SEAL, and my wife Laura was a Navy pilot. As we watched the second plane hit the towers, we rushed to our bases knowing our service was about defending our way of life and defending our country in wartime.

On an unacceptably heavy day in politics, it’s especially good to get together with folks.

We were in Corunna for the Shiawassee Dems picnic, and a great chance to catch up with friends, including Shiawassee County’s excellent state rep, Penelope Tsernoglou.

There’s no place for this in America. Political violence of any kind is totally unacceptable. It undermines our democracy and our nation.

I’m praying for Charlie Kirk and his family - keep them and everyone who was attending this event in your prayers today.

No matter how many op-eds he pens with his national GOP talking points, we know the truth here in Michigan: Barrett voted for a massive tax cut for the wealthiest Americans, and the rest of us are stuck paying the bill.

And that’s not to mention healthcare – Barrett’s vote for the big bill will kick 350,000 Michiganders off their insurance, while premiums for everyone else climb by double digits. The average family will be on the hook for thousands more each year.

Groceries, school supplies, heating and electric bills - all of it is more expensive, with tariffs driving costs even higher.
