In the meantime, we remind everyone that trans people are still legally protected from discrimination, harassment, and victimisation in employment, education, and the provision of services, and we will support everyone in using their bathroom of choice.

We are still awaiting clarity on what the ruling means in practice for trans, non-binary and intersex staff and students within Cambridge University.

Cambridge UCU, Unison and Unite reps were due to meet Senior Management this week to discuss the impact of the Supreme Court ruling on the Equality Act in April, and the subsequent guidance and consultation from the EHRC. Unfortunately, due to staff illness this meeting has been postponed.

Yesterday, we joined hundreds of students and staff in showing our support for the Cambridge Vet School. Our message was clear: the University must allow continued Undergraduate admission, and invest in the Department’s long-term future 🐾

Cambridge University loses bid for long injunction on Israel-Palestine protests Its lawyers had argued the injunction is ‘urgently’ needed ahead of a graduation ceremony this Saturday.

The University of Cambridge has failed to obtain a long anti protest injunction despite arguing hard for it in court - this is a vindication of everyone who campaigned against it.
