A foreign policy for the working class is one where states collaborate to discipline capital instead of working with capital to discipline our democracies.

Economic growth is still heating the planet. Is there any way out? Rising GDP continues to mean more carbon emissions and wider damage to the planet. Can the two be decoupled?

How far do we have to be in deep water until we stop discussing if absolute decoupling of economic growth and environmental resource use is actually possible?

The Board of Governors decided, unilaterally, that no published textbook in the field of sociology could be used in compliance with the law for an Intro to Sociology class. None.
Victor: There's not a single existing textbook on the market that could be used that would qualify under state law?
Zachary: Correct.
Victor: I'm sorry, that's kind of funny. Like, the absurdity of not a single sociology textbook getting past the censors. I mean, it makes me kind of proud of our colleagues, but...

I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.

You don't need philosophy to study capitalism, but you do get into philosophy once you try to answer all the conceptual questions and want to get them consistent. You also get into typical metaphysical questions, e.g. the question of form/matter is crucial to Marxism and classical metaphysics.

5... their connection. The difference precludes an identity. It means that you cannot prove that labor-power is exploited, but this is precisely why labor-power can be exploited in the first place: *because* it can produce more stuff than it receives in the wage.

4... the difference between labor-power's exchange-value (the wage) and its use-value (labor). The worker works more hours than they receive in euro's. But this difference is incommensurable, it is itself the difference between labor and value/capital. Therefore you can't philosophically prove...
