Few random thoughts about Diablo 2 Resurrected - now that I’m running He’ll Cows again.
*Why would you play any build but Hammerdin - they just rule.
*Hell Ancients are Blizzard’s little joke on Hammerdins - you fly through the game and then hit 3 overpowered magic immune - glad to be done.

New Steam Deck arrived today - what a beautiful machine. Thought I should pull the trigger before Ramageddon made the consumer electronics market impossible.

Diablo 2 - once you get to end game and you’re MFing - is basically one big virtual slot machine - and I love it.

I really am having so much fun stepping back into Diablo 2 - it was and continues to be a classic. Here’s a question though - why do you have to PAY Tyrael to resurrect your mercenary. What is an Angel doing with all that gold? You’d think he’d comp is a rez or two.

I think that means you’ll be waiting ~2 years for your new console - not sure I’d make that same call. I got my PS5 almost a year ago and the return on that investment - in terms of the gaming pleasure it’s given me - has been outstanding.

Season finale next Sunday - every season always ends with Christmas. I’ll be sad to see them all say goodbye for a year. It is - and has been - the most heartwarming show on TV. I’ll miss it like I miss Ted Lasso.

Tonight’s “All Creatures Great And Small” was exceptional. I can’t begin to explain how much I love - have loved this show - every episode. It’s a peek into a world that we could use more of today.

Brutal, painful episode - I hate that I have to wait a week for them to wrap this up. This has been an exceptional show - one I will no doubt rewatch.

Small confession - with all the hours I have in all versions of Diablo 2 - I have never done a Hammerdin play through - and I am kicking myself. I’m at L30 and this build is starting to shine. Highly recommend.

I’ve started listening to vinyl again after almost 40 years - my wife gave me everything I needed for Christmas to start playing around with it again. Listened to Jethro Tull’s “Songs From The Woods” yesterday - a long ago favorite - and it was a pretty joyful experience. Today - “Yessongs”!

I am REALLY enjoying another walk down Diablo 2 memory lane right now. Found out yesterday that they recently introduced a new class - Warlock - how did I miss that little development - with one of my favorite games of all time. It’s like unexpectedly running into an old friend.

I think Blizzard peaked in the 1st decade of the 21st century with the launch of D2, StarCraft 2, Warcraft 3 & WoW. It’s been a slow, tortured slide into mediocrity ever since.

Yen - seven days a week and twice on Sunday.

Yes I did - when I heard Blizzard had added a new D2 class this morning (Warlock) - I bought the game for PS5 and downloaded. Been playing ever since. Hello old friend. It’s so good to see you again! This was the franchise at its very best - timeless and near perfect #Diablo2 #D2 #DiabloII #DII

I’m pretty sure that I have more total hours played in 2 Blizzard games - D2 and WoW - than any other selections over the course of my lifetime of gaming. I’ve never gotten over what a mess Blizzard made of the Diablo franchise with D3 and D4.
