Thanks! I’ve seen lots of snow in my day but nothing like this - they are calling it snowcrete because it is like a 5 inch block of ice on top of some less solid snow! We are all safe and warm though.

Been a while since I posted over here! Here are some little clouds cut out of Canson watercolor paper and painted with a Pentel water pen using Beam Paints.

A constant struggle.

Thanks so much! I’m enjoying working small alongside working big. A true luxury to have space to do both, which I am incredibly grateful for.

At the top of a blank white wall space are 5 small (4.25x5.5”) collages by artist Molly McCracken. On the far left the first Collage contains a black and white door with an image of two white women, one in a blue dress, looking up to the corner and one with her back to the audience in a pink dress the second collage contains words from ads ripped out of an old national geographic Magazine, and a woman in a short sleeve shirt with short brown hair and her back to the audience. The third collage contains more words from ads from the National Geographic magazine and includes a woman in a green coat and orange cap, pushing an old-fashioned baby buggy with a young child in it. The fourth Collage contains some words near the top that say “now we have the authority“, part of a black-and-white photograph that shows a door in the background and someone’s arm with a cane in the foreground, an old edge of paper with tape on it into the right a woman wearing a plaid skirt and a white shirt with her arm around a young child. A large mixed media work in progress on paper tacked up on a wall at Idylwood Studios by artist Molly McCracken. This piece has a variety of shapes and colors, including greens, dark, purple, neon pink, orange and blue. There are circular shapes in lines and squiggles and pieces cut out of Collage paper.

An earlier iteration of the work in progress by Molly McCracken, tacked up on the wall in her studio at Idylwood Studios. This one has many of the drawn in elements with watercolor pencil and Stabilo pencil in a variety of colors plus one vertical collage piece in the left third.

Took down the finished piece I was working on and started a new one in the body abstractions series. This group of images go from the blank wall on the right, to midway through my work today in the middle, to where I left it when I went home. Mixed media collage on paper. Size very large.

Starting at the left are green shapes and white shapes with small neon, yellow and orange circles. There are also white and gray and purple curved lines near the top and running along the bottom horizontally is a red and pink line. in the center is a blue circular shape and to the right of that gray funnels, running horizontally and connecting in the middle. To the right of that are many vertical lines intersected by a curvy horizontal line about midway up the paper. Below the central line, the colors are primarily black, green and magenta. Above the central line, the colors are primarily purple, blue and black. To the far right there is an orange vertical line. It is hard to describe the many layers and levels of paper paint and drawing that create different shapes with color and texture.
