Tyranny requires constant effort. Control is desperate because it is so unnatural. It breaks, it leaks. Authority's brittle. Oppression's a mask of fear. The day will come when all moments of defiance will flood the banks of the Empire and break the siege.

Thereβs a pretty robust case to make that the Iran Hostage crisis of 1979, the revolution itself, and the policies of the Iranian government towards the US
since, was all blowback from the CIAβs decision to overthrow Mossadegh in 1953. www.cnn.com/2013/08/19/p...
The USA is starving a country to death via illegal blockade.
While funding a second country to starve their neighbor to death.
While bombing a third country unprovoked over a lie.
Only months after bombing a 4th country, kidnapping its leader, and pirating an oil tanker, then pocketing the money.
what a crazy night for sam altman to be like "yeah we got that dept of war deal, and there's no moral concerns here"

*Democrat Who Should Be Committed*
Fixed.
in case anyone ever needed confirmation that it's not about building a democratic Iran, it's about collapsing Iran and turning it into a land of rubble that can be bombed every six months

You are barking up the wrong tree here. I was just as critical as Obama for his illegal and offensive drone strikes as I was of George W. Bush starting the practice.
But in *this particular case* Obama got it right, and Trump got it wrong, because two things can be true at the same time: (1/2)
Carpet bombing a country because their leadership is authoritarian is like "saving" a family from an abusive father by setting their house on fire.

Yeah. One of his first actions in the 1st term was a drone strike authorized based on super sketchy intelligence that Obama repeatedly refused to authorize, which resulted in the death of an 8-year old American girl.
This is not new territory for this psychopath.

28.02.2026 18:53 β π 23547 π 5960 π¬ 142 π 65Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some 50 miles of concrete highway. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. This, I repeat, is the best way of life to be found on the road. the world has been taking. This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron.

When you see the media spin this war, bear in mind that every single propaganda tactic has just been tested in spinning biden's genocide of Gaza.
The exact same playbook, the exact same kinds of lies, the same inevitable violence against protesters: we literally *just* went through this.
It's so blatantly gross and wrong. Iraq they at least mounted a 2 year propaganda campaign to convince everyone they were an imminent threat to the U.S.
With Iran we had *ten years* of nuclear inspections under Obama's deal with them, proving behind a shadow of a doubt they aren't building nukes.
Making Iran a failed state is the GOAL, not failure. They are smashing a nation to bits at the behest of Israel, because they're the only ones allowed a military force in the region. And the only ones who can exert that military force on all their neighbors (Iran hasn't, but hypothetically it COULD)

History will remember this as a war with no good actors:
The U.S., Israel, and Iran are all run by authoritarian regimes.
It'll also remember Israel was in the middle of committing an active genocide when they added Iran to the chopping block, and the US chose to start the war under false pretenses.
