People notice gender mismatches ~600ms with serial presentation, but ~400ms with parallel presentation. The patterns are different for transparent nouns (aut-o rápid-o) vs opaque (coche rápid-o) and pseudomarked (moto rápid-a) nouns! This is her first QP, and it opens lots of interesting puzzles

Ah I don’t have the answer to this at all, except I know that Elsi Kaiser has been doing some work very recently on exactly this kind of question! I don’t have a citation, but she presented some related work at last year’s HSP

Maybe examples like 'the fake diamond'? 'This is a fake diamond' shouldn't entail 'This is a diamond'. But, to my ears 'this is a diamond that's fake' isn't as obviously-preposterous as 'Obama is a president that is former' does, so maybe my informant missed the point

Oh I think that's just a genuine structural ambiguity. No, I mean things like 'the former president', which should NOT be paraphrasable as 'the president that is former'. I remember trying to figure this out once but nominal tense made that specific example wonky
