Emiliano Vargas passed the chipping away line and crossed into the realm of beating up Agustin Quintana. Maybe the ref could have let Quintana continue but it seemed that his own corner agreed with the ref.

Missed Claressa Shields vs. Franchon Crews-Dezurn yesterday but watched it today. Although Franchon Crews-Dezurn isn't the most athletic, she's a veteran of the fight game and even though it was a wide unanimous decision, she made Claressa Shields work for the victory.

Second half of Mario Barrios vs. Ryan Garcia and Barrios chances of keeping his belt are becoming less likely.

Mario Barrios vs. Ryan Garcia, Garcia knocked down Barrios in the first. Barrios seems to have steadied the ship but Garcia trying to hurt Barrios. If Barrios doesn't get caught with something, there's a lot of boxing left.

Competitive match but, in my opinion, Gary Antuane Russell has done enough to beat Andy Hiraoka.

How was that not a deliberate low blow? He hit him in the sack.

Next is what should be another very good 140lbs match. Gary Antuanne Russell vs. the undefeated and upset minded Andy Hiraoka fight for Russell's WBA belt.

Ruled a draw. I had Martin winning more rounds but good scrap.

Frank Martin vs. Nahir Albright, really good 140lbs match. Albright cut from a punch & Martin was probably leading on points then Albright hurt Martin in the 10th round, Martin held on for dear life, fought back when his head cleared and made it to the final bell.

Leigh Wood vs. Josh Warrington. Wood using distance well and Warrington generally not advancing behind the jab (no surprises there). This match is reminding me of when Shakur Stevenson vs. Josh Warrington were mentioned as possibly fighting but it never happened.

Did Fawaz' freshness and output outweigh Davis' earlier success? It was more about Davis getting tired than Fawaz hurting Davis but let's see.

Davis looking tired and his activity has lessened. Not sure how effective Fawaz' punches have been but Davis' lack of activity and low energy is benefiting Fawaz.

Wood vs Warrington 2 - Matchroom Boxing

Main event for today's earlier boxing is the Leigh Wood vs. Josh Warrington rematch but on now is the co-main event, Ishmael Davis vs. Bilal Fawaz, 154lbs. If Davis can find the right mix, I think that he should have enough to win.

Nick Ball is resoundingly knocked down and then knocked out by Brandon Figueroa. Not sure why the audience are acting like Figueroa did anything wrong. Brandon Figueroa fought fire with fire and a fatigued Nick Ball couldn't withstand the bombs landed by Figueroa.
