Sally Smith’s latest Gabriel Ward mystery A CASE OF LIFE AND LIMB (following A CASE OF MICE AND MURDER) comes out in November. Set in England’s Inner Temple in 1901, Gabriel and Constable Wright must solve a murder that may be an attack on the Temple itself. #ewgc @macmillanlib.bsky.social

Really enjoying the trend of books about libraries, bookstores & cafes in Southeast Asia. The latest on my list is THE SOYANGRI BOOK KITCHEN by Kim Jee-hye, a heartwarming novel about the healing power of books, perfect for those who love BEFORE THE COFFEE GETS COLD. #ewgc @misterchris.bsky.social

Just started BOG QUEEN by Anna North (who wrote the wonderful Western OUTLAWED). This is a dual timeline story about an anthrpologist who makes a monumental discovery about a body found in the bog, and the Iron Age age woman to whom the body belongs. Fascinating. #ewgc @macmillanlib.bsky.social

Since so many people here have been raving about THE EVERLASTING and I love the Alix Harrow books that I have read, I hope to read it this month. A lady knight, a not-so-heroic historian, time travel, cross-genre adventure. Sounds promising, right? #ewgc @macmillanlib.bsky.social

Really looking forward to THE LIBRARIANS by Sherry Thomas. The quiet of a small branch library is disrupted when two people turn up dead after a murder mystery-themed event at the library and the staff must band together to save the library β€” and themselves. #ewgc @prhlibrary.bsky.social
