Today the Bank of Canada held its policy rate at 2.75%, after seven consecutive cuts, as they gain more information about US tariffs.
Given the uncertainty, the Bank abandoned the usual point forecast in favour of 2 scenarios: 1 with tariffs mostly negotiated away and 2 with a global trade war.
