In all honesty the internet just needs to be small again

The weird parasocial interactions happen when you start putting people on pedestals just because they have big number and are treated like their word is gospel. Or god forbid they're a person with boundaries and enforces them.

LRP is why is really steams my hams when people accuse others of trying to clout chase when you're literally just treating your peers like people. Friendly banter isn't forming parasocial relationships. We're all just nerds posting about our blorbos.

To elaborate: Make friends, not followers. Chasing numbers pales in comparison to the value of finding mutuals/collaborators that you can talk shop with and boost what they do. Treat others how you want to be treated, stay interested in art other than your own
