I was actually considering doing this next year to find my place more into the fandom. I wanna get involved so badly.

Yet what frustrates me is when a lot of these bad actors have way more furries following them than people like me. I’m not saying I’m anything special either, but to me, being someone who isn’t a nazi or rapist comes easy, so why am I constantly ignored when these people prove all publicity is good?

I feel like you’re downplaying yourself because you’re comparing yourself to others. I know we don’t talk much these days but when we were closer and even when we met at a con, I was slightly intimidated because of how much knowledge you have. You’re an integral part of this community.

With the recent controversy on social media over our lifecast products, we would like to take a moment to talk about it. If you’ve not had a chance to read our Lifecasting Info page, we explain how the casting was done, as well as our policy on animal welfare. The health, safety and comfort of every animal and person involved in the casting is of primary importance to us. For this reason, we transitioned away from direct contact lifecasting and began using a 3D scanning and photo telemetry process. Our last animal lifecast taken using any method was in 2013, and we no longer use direct contact casting methods except with human models. While our old process was similar to the collection process used on equine breeding farms across the world, we understand that there are some people that do not find lifecasting to be ethical due to the final purpose of our products. Regardless of your feelings on the ethical nature of lifecasting itself, the behavior we’ve seen on social media today has been repugnant. We opened our inbox this morning to a slew of messages through our contact form full of abusive messages and death threats. But worse, we are seeing abuse and threats aimed at Midwest FurFest and their staff, simply because we are a vendor. We’ve also seen content creators insulted for using our products. If you feel the need for more information, or simply to vent, our contact form is open, but these attacks and threats to others are completely unacceptable. -exotic-erotics
