Grief is just such a roller coaster of a process. If you know you gave her the best life she could have, then you can't blame yourself for any what-ifs. Which I know is hard.

I never felt guilty but since I got her when I was 14 and I was 29 when she passed. So I had her literally half my life.

Any guilt I had was figuring out if we put her in more pain with our selfishness.

In the case for my Delilah, I had to figure out if we were keeping her around because it was easier for us or easier for her.

She was in pain every day. Some nights were better but she would whimper most nights.
